Meet “Beachbot,” Disney’s Adorable Artist Robot

We’ve got WALL·E, Baymax, R2-D2… and now, Disney has added another lovable robot to its collection. Meet Beachbot, the brainchild of Disney Research and ETH Zürich.

This little mobile robot can turn an ordinary beach into an artist’s canvas. Innovative balloon wheels allow Beachbot to traverse sandy beaches without leaving tracks, while a controllable rake system lets him leave thick or thin tracks to sketch out preprogrammed or manually remote-drawn images.

Now there’s some innovation Walt would be proud of—not to mention the fact that Beachbot is just plain adorable@ Watch him in action:
