January 1, 2015 ,

Over the last few months on of TMSM’s New Zealand Members Sam wrote and shared a story with us about Santa’s Reindeer and their connections to Disney. We wanted to share these stories with you over the holiday season. Charlie and His Reindeer is a five part, 10 chapter story the we will be sharing with you over the next few days. Please remember when reading this the author was originally written on Sam’s cell phone, and that same is a 16 year old from New Zealand so some of their slang and word usage is different that ours here in the US.

Chapter Nine: Forgive and Forget
Charlie ran all around the Magic Kingdom to find his brother, he found him standing in front of the castle. “Alpha” he said as walked up behind him, “Charlie” Alpha said with relief, what Charlie did next shocked the both of them, Charlie grabbed his brother and gave him a massive hug, Alpha hugged him back and asked “does this mean that you forgive me bro?”, Charlie stepped away with tears in his eyes and said “yeah bro, I forgive you, can we both forgive, forget and move on with life, as brothers?” “yeah bro, I’d really like that” now Alpha was in tears. The other reindeer caught up with the brothers who were just standing in front of the castle hugging, “so is everything all good between you two?” Rudolf asked, “yeah, yeah we’re all good now” Alpha replied wiping the last tears from his eyes and hugging his younger brother, “I say that we all go and do something we all love” Asher suggested, everyone replied “Dancing”. All sixteen reindeer headed over to the court, they got there and they got the music going and let run through a few times and all at once the sixteen of them broke into their dance routines side by side, it got to the point where the trainees couldn’t go any further because they hadn’t learned it, so they stood there and watched the Great Eight finish off the routine flawlessly, they finished and all the trainees could do was applaud, “now that’s how you do it, I expect that you’ll do better than us Char, I wish we could be there to watch you, but as you know, we have our own dance to do for the people of LA, good luck bro” “thanks bro”. The Great Eight decided to stay with the trainees and personally train them for the rest of the day, most of the Great Eight left after dinner, Alpha decided to stay behind and teach the trainees while the rest of the Great Eight went back to LA to get ready for the Christmas season.

Chapter Ten: The Parade
The trainees had been training under the supervision of James and Alpha, their progress had dramatically increased and about a week before the opening parade of the Christmas season they had learned all that could be taught. They were finally ready to be in their first parade, although they weren’t entirely perfect, James and Alpha knew that they were ready, “hey bro, shouldn’t you be getting back to the Great Eight so that you can prepare for your parade?” Charlie asked his brother, “I’ll go back to my Great Eight, if you promise to look after your Great Eight” Alpha replied, “deal” Charlie said as he shook his brothers hoof, “good luck G.E” Alpha said as he parted with the others. “What does G.E mean?” Sparky asked, “Great Eight duh” Charlie replied, “wait so he just called the Great Eight?” Aqua inquired, “yeah, the Great Eight of Walt Disney World” Charlie responded. James came over and said “the park is closed today because the people above me said that they wanted to have a full parade run through to see how and where you should all fit in, please follow me” he led them to the starting point of the parade and got the trainees dressed in their bells, bows and mistletoes, they got into the first position in the parade and ran through it once, they were then shifted throughout the parade until they were finally given the spot in front of Santa’s sleigh, then they ran through it one more time, it still didn’t look right to the boss who over saw the parades, he went and talked to the reindeer and asked them if they didn’t mind being split up, the reindeer were reluctant at first but then gave the idea a go, it was weird at first, having paired up and separated from the others, but it felt more natural, so now Blaze and Aqua led the parade, Reggie and Sparky were about a quarter of the way through, Terra and Ebony were at the half way mark and Charlie and Walt lead Santa’s sleigh, they each still did the dance they were taught but they were doing it at different times. The last few months were a roller coaster for Charlie, he had come to terms that he was good at dancing at that he really enjoyed it, he’d made a lot of new friends as well, he’d finally forgiven his brother and had learned to be a better reindeer.
The day had arrived for the trainees, judgment day, the first parade day of the Christmas season, this was the start of a new journey for Charlie and his Reindeer.
The End
