Marvel Fan Favorite Villain Returning

****POSSIBLE SPOILERS****

In the Marvel Universe, there are many powerful villains.  Ultron, Thanos, Red Skull, Winter Soldier, Iron Monger, Laufey, etc…there are a lot of them.  In my humble opinion, there is no greater villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than the one, the only LOKI!!!!!

Loki

The Avengers film in 2012 brought together Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye to battle Loki.  Well in order to take Age of Ultron to an even higher level than the first film, they of course need to bring in more characters.  We know that Ultron is the big villain for the film, but as fans we  need and deserve more.

The Thor franchise had a big part of the first Avengers being that the villain was Thors brother, Loki.  The Guardian published a recent interview they did with Thor and Thor: The Dark World star Idris Elba, and in the article the actor reveals that both he and Tom Hiddleston will be appearing in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Elba has played Heimdall in the first 2 Thor films, i’m sure most know Tom Hiddleston plays Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Elba told the UK paper that he had just been filming something the day before for the Avengers sequel, and even gave away some vague details about what he will be doing.

“I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?'”

I’m sure the Loki Fan Girls are very excited about this news and can’t wait to see Tom back on the big screen.  The last we saw of Loki, he was sitting on Odin’s throne disguised as his father, the King.

This announcement about the characters being a part of the new Avengers film fits in with the comment from Kevin Feige.  Feige stated that the upcoming Thor sequel, Thor: Ragnarok, would be picking up immediately after the events of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. This leads me to believe that scenes with Thor, Loki and Heimdall will be an after credits scene to lead into the next Thor film, but that is just my opinion.

As more news comes out from Marvel, we will be sure to pass it along to you.  So whats your opinion of Loki returning?
