Today, April 5th in 2006 is the day that the very first Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique opened in Walt Disney World’s Downtown District. The shop gives young guests the opportunity for a makeover to become a princess or prince.
With a wave of her magic wand—plus a few tools of the trade—your very own Fairy Godmother-in-training can turn you into a princess! It’s all in a day’s work at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, owned by Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother and operated by her skilled apprentices.
Choose your hairstyle then add make-up, nail color, accessories and a Disney princess costume, if your heart desires. Then commemorate this most magical of moments with a keepsake photo in a princess-themed photo holder.
And boys can join in on the fun too, as our Fairy Godmothers-in-training transform them into heroic knights!
In September 2007, a second boutique was added to Cinderella’s Castle inside the Magic Kingdom Park.
Below is a video from TMSM friend, Big Fat Panda’s niece having her fairy tale transformation done.
