It’s officially the first day of Spring! I know there are some of us, myself included, who are still in a state where it’s not so Spring-like. I looked out the window first thing this morning, and we had snow flurries. It sure doesn’t feel like Spring, but according to the calendar, it is.
It’s days like today that I try to be positive and think towards the coming months. Before we know it, it will be July and people will be complaining that it’s too darn hot. Not me though, I’d rather be warm than cold. Maybe that’s why I don’t mind going to Disney in the warmer months. I guess I appreciate being hot, because I know that the winter months seem to linger around forever. I’ll take what I can get!
So, it’s Spring, now what? Hmmm….. maybe it’s time to start thinking about planning a vacation? Warm thoughts, right? Every year around this time, I start looking up my “what if” vacation. Yes, time to start playing on the WDW website and crunching numbers. Will Disney offer Free Dining this year? I’m hoping it will happen again. In the meantime, Disney Dreams are all I have. I look at photos of the Flower and Garden Festival going on at Epcot right now, and I so wish I were there. I wish we got to enjoy Spring like folks in Florida do. But, I can look at those pictures and smile.
For today, on this first day of Spring, I remain optimistic. I look forward to seeing the flowers come up, feel the sunshine on my face, and not having to wear a heavy coat when going outside. Until that day comes, I just pull on my boots and grab a scarf and mittens, and keep dreaming of Disney. With any luck, and some pixie dust, I hope to see my favorite Mouse and some beautiful palm trees again sometime soon.
