Car Masters Weekend, now in its third year, is a Magical way to celebrate Father’s Day as Downtown Disney West Side hosts a classic car show with a Cars themed twist June 15-16, 2013. Both days, the event starts at 9:30 in the morning.
Featuring all things “Cars,” the event showcases more than 150 classic and one of a kind cars; a chance for guests to meet “Cars 2″ stars Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile; and special appearances by automotive designer Chip Foose and Disney-Pixar “Cars” filmmaker Jay Ward.
In addition to the Cars display, fans may buy tickets for a ”Cars” & “Cars 2″ double feature at AMC Downtown Disney 24, “test drive” Ridemakerz “Cars” models, get caricatures done, have themed food and drinks, check out live entertainment and I’m sure much more.
New this year, Splitsville, the amazing new upscale bowling alley at DTD will host the first Car Masters Weekend Sock Hop. This special dance-styled event, will be taking place Saturday from 6-9 p.m., features live entertainment, a bowling competition, a buffet of Splitsville goodies, cocktails, prizes and other fun activities. Sock Hop tickets will be available beginning today, June 5 at DisneyCarEvent.com for $69 per person.
Also making Car Masters Weekend debuts are a special street performance by artists with La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil, an opportunity for guests to play the upcoming Disney Infinity video game and new interactive activities based on future Disney film releases Monsters University, The Lone Ranger and Planes. All in all, this looks to be a wonderfully entertaining weekend for all who plan to attend!
