There is anticipation building for the new Disney film, Planes, which is a spinoff from the “Cars” franchise. As with all animated Disney films, there are usually some famous voices behind the characters. Sometimes, I like to watch the movie, and try to guess who plays what character, like in Cars. Sometimes the voice is easy to pinpoint, and sometimes you have to really give it some thought, it’s fun to guess. Dane Cook will provide the voice of Dusty, the main character. Others recently announced include: Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Cedric the Entertainer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, Carlos Alazraqui, Priyanka Chopra, Gabriel Iglesias, Roger Craig Smith, Colin Cowherd, Sinbad, Oliver Kalkofe and Brent Musburger (repeating his role from the Cars films). Adding some high-flying cameos from a high flying feature film are Anthony Edwards and Val Kilmer.

The film takes off in theaters in 3D on Aug. 9, 2013.
