It’s time to start thinking about possible vacation times for the upcoming year! If you are a Star Wars enthusiast, then you’re in luck. The Disney Blog announced the dates for Start Wars Weekends at Walt Disney World for 2013. We were told that the special event weekends will run every Friday-Sunday from May 17-June 9.
Although the special guests haven’t been announced, the word is that there will be some of the same guests that were featured last year. James Arnold Taylor, the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi on TV’s “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” will be the official celebrity host for the weekends, that much we do know. Also, Ashley Eckstein, who voices the character Ahsoka Tano on the show, will be the host of the event’s live show, “Behind the Force,” which gives fans the scoop regarding the making of the Clone Wars.
This year may be a little different though. Being that Disney acquired Lucas Films this year, we aren’t sure if there will be different features or activities that may not have been there before. I know die hard Star Wars fans were a little worried that things would be too different with Disney completely in charge, but I remain optimistic. Disney seems to do everything on an upscale level, and I’m sure Star Wars weekends will be the same.
