Bob Iger Confirms a ‘Frozen 4’ in the Works

It looks like a third “Frozen” film is not enough for The Walt Disney Company as Bob Iger has just confirmed a “Frozen 4” is also in the works at Disney!

On Thursday morning, the CEO of the Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger, confirmed a “Frozen 3” is in the works and a “‘Frozen 4’ might be in the works too.” It’s worth noting that we don’t even know when “Frozen 3″ might be released, which makes this news almost mind-blowing!

“But I don’t have much to say about those films right now,” said the CEO on GMA.

He continued: “[Director] Jenn Lee, who created the original ‘Frozen’ and ‘Frozen 2,’ is hard at work with her team at Disney animation on not one but actually two stories.”

It’s also been revealed that “Frozen” songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will also be back to write new songs for both follow-up films. Anderson-Lopez later confirmed on social media. “Well, I’ve been quiet here for a while,” she wrote. “But yeah, this.”

The announcement came from Disney’s new Frozen-themed land, “World of Frozen,” which just opened at Hong Kong Disneyland. The new experience lets guests meet Olaf, Anna, and Elsa and dine at restaurants and walk the streets of Arendelle.

“For years at our Disney Parks, we’ve been creating these large immersive worlds. Essentially, they are the physical embodiment of some of the greatest stories that we’ve told… And of course, ‘Frozen’ being one of our most valuable franchises, I think it’s just right for building the place that ‘Frozen’ takes place in,” Iger said. “It’s just a fantastic land that enables people to get immersed in the story of ‘Frozen’ and interact with all the great characters from the films.”

What are your thoughts of The Walt Disney Company already announcing a “Frozen 4” prior to the release of any information of “Frozen 3”? Let us know in the comments!
