Disney+ Confirms Raya and the Last Dragon Will Be Available to subscribers for Free at a Later Date

February 9, 2021 ,

“Raya and the Last Dragon” was first announced to be coming to Disney+ at the recent Disney Investors Day live stream as part of the streaming service’s Disney+ Premiere Access. However, Disney+ just announced fans will also be able to enjoy the highly-anticipated film for free beginning June 4.

Disney+ Premiere Access first arrived on the streaming service earlier this year with the exclusive streaming premiere of Disney’s live-action “Mulan,” which was pulled from theaters due to the temporary closures of many theaters around the world on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For those who don’t want to wait until the summer months to see this movie, the film is set to debut on both Disney+ Premiere Access and in theaters on March 5th.

Below, you can see the official announcement from the company:

Starting March 5th, with Premier Access, you can watch Raya and the Last Dragon before it’s available to all Disney+ subscribers or anywhere else. Disney+ will offer Premier Access to Raya and the Last Dragon for $29.99 on disneyplus.com and in the Disney+ app on select platforms, including Apple, Google, Amazon, and Roku. The Premier Access offer will be available until May 4th, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. PT.  Once you have Premier Access to Raya and the Last Dragon, you can watch as many times as you want on any platform where Disney+ is available. Your access to Raya and the Last Dragon will continue as long as you are an active Disney+ subscriber. Raya and the Last Dragon will be available to all Disney+ subscribers on June 4th, 2021 for no additional cost.

As stated above, the premiere access viewing of the film will only be available until May 4. It’s not stated above, but following this date there is a good chance the movie will only be available for digital rental or purchase.

Will you wait till June 4 to see “Raya and the Last Dragon” or will you go for the Disney+ Premiere Access? Let us know in the comments!
