Hocus Pocus Kitchen Witches!

It’s just a bunch of Hocus Pocus…

Tis the season of the witch as they say… Halloween! Hocus Pocus is my favorite Fall movie and a friend of mine handmade some adorable Sanderson Sisters kitchen witches! Here’s the scoop from Luna Moon Gothic-

KITCHEN WITCH LORE: The “Kitchen Witch” is a good witch who inspires productivity and safety in a kitchen, but also counteracts any ill-will directed to the home. It is considered good luck to give a kitchen witch to a friend or family member. Stems from European customs.

I grew up with my Bohemian Grandmother’s Kitchen Witches and tales of the luck they brought her. After one of our visits to Salem, MA, I dug out one of her 1960’s vintage Kitchen Witches and decided to replicate the original pattern. However, add a little bit of Hocus Pocus! We wanted to bring back the whimsy and magic of the Kitchen Witch to an entirely new generation.

Our Hocus Pocus inspired Kitchen Witches are handmade, flocked and hand painted one by one with india ink. We handmake each broom the sisters carry. They have bean bag tushies and can sit on a shelf with ease. Stand 8″ tall by 5″ wide. They are available in our Etsy shop and will also be available at the Merchant Market in Salem, MA at the end of October!
