“Frozen” Dessert Party By Guest Blogger Heather Araskiewicz

While planning our recent WDW trip we heard the the Frozen Summer Fun celebration was kicking off while we were there. Then we heard that you could purchase the Frozen Summer Fun Premium Package. We were traveling with my two young nieces who love Frozen. Without hesitation I went online and purchased the package for the first day of the event, Wednesday June 17th.

For us the highlight of the package was the Frozen Fireworks viewing with a dessert party. We arrived at the reserved area at 8:15 and were allowed right in. An area in front of the Chinese Theater had been roped off and high top tables with blue and silver tablecloths were set up throughout the area.

The variety of desserts and beverages was amazing. There were frozen inspired adult cocktails, wine and beer. There was coffee, tea, soda, water and frozen inspired non-alcoholic drinks for the little ones.

There were two stations that had ice cream, fresh berries and whipped cream. They also had apple crisp and trail mix. The main attraction were the pastries.  Two cakes adorned separate pastry stations. The Olaf and Elsa cakes were a crowd favorite (even if they weren’t edible!). Below each cake was a variety of pastries that ranged from cupcakes to donuts to mousse. There were even selections that were gluten free!

It was a really hot day and the heat seemed to linger into the evening. That is probably why the snow cone station was so popular. Guests could choose from a few different flavors and the snowcone was served in a bowl which made it easier to eat. There were also ice cream bars available.

Guests could enjoy their treats one of the many high top tables that were available. DJ Chill was on stage keeping the party going with a variety of dance tunes that kept our group dancing until the fireworks went off a little after 10pm.

Anna, Kristoff and Olaf were on hand to launch the fireworks and Elsa made an appearance at the end and everyone ended the night singing “Let It Go”.

The entire day was amazing and the dessert party was the icing on the cake for us. I personally felt that the money spent on the premium package was well worth it considering that the dessert party was just one of the many things we did that day.
