Disney Songs That Get Stuck In Your Head

July 5, 2014 ,

We have all been there.  We hear a part of a song or see a scene in one of the beloved Disney movies and we hear a familiar tune.  We then find ourselves humming or singing it throughout the day.   Every time I go to Mickey’s Philharmagic I walk out singing one of many songs I just heard.  The Oh My Disney blog recently put out what they think are the top 10, at least to their writers, songs that are guaranteed to get stuck in your head.

Love is an Open Door

We can already hear the cries of, “but what about ‘Let it Go’!?” We’ve already noted that song’s insane levels of catchiness here, so this time we’re calling out this fun duet. Sure, Hans turns out to be not the best, but this song still is.

Colors of the Wind

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon? Okay, maybe not. But, have you ever had this song stuck in your head? We think if you’re a resident of planet earth, then yes, yes you have.

Why Should I Worry?

Dodger is not only the one animal we know (canine or human) that can rock a sausage scarf, he is also a huge part of why this song is so catchy. His street savoir faire really stays with us, hours and hours after we’ve heard the song.

A Pirate’s Life for Me

Are we right? This song is almost always stuck in our heads. Seriously. We go through life humming “yo-ho, yo-ho” under our breath. Wait, is that why people are always giving us funny looks? Hmm.

Hakuna Matata

They don’t call it a wonderful phrase for nothing. (And by “they” we mean meerkats). We find the part where everyone is chanting “hakuna matata” especially stuck-in-our heads worthy.

A Whole New World

The melody is so beautiful that whenever we hear it, we can almost believe we’re being whisked away to some far-off, romantic destination (and not our local pizza place for the hundredth time…cough cough).

Under the Sea

What would we give for our own singing crab, who could also provide life advice? A lot. We’d give a lot. But in the meantime, we listen to this song on repeat. And then repeat it in our heads all day after that.

Almost There

This is a great song. It has a powerful message set to a pretty awesome beat. We know why Tiana’s always singing it. Because it’s always stuck in her head.

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

Specifically the part where Cinderella is humming. We are always humming that hum! That’s the sign of a great tune.

The Bare Necessities

We bet if we were to bump into you on the street and immediately say, “Look for the…” you would finish with “bare necessities! The simple bare necessities!” And then we’d become instant best friends. So be on the lookout for this to happen soon.

What are some Disney songs that always seem to be stuck in your head? Tell us in the comments!
