This summer at the D23 Expo Disney On Broadway will present “The Originals” starring Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins), Josh Strickland (Tarzan) and James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin). In honor of this upcoming show and Disney On Broadway’s new Summer Concert Series and because it is Friday, we thought why not kick off the weekend with a little Disney Music Video Break and share a few of our favorite Disney On Broadway performances with you!
The first video we want to share is from the new “Summer Concert Series”. Disney on Broadway will be sharing new videos with fans on their YouTube channel over the next four weeka. The first video in the series is a duet of “Let It Go” from Frozen*, sung by Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland. This performance was recorded on the 2015 Disney Vacation Member Cruise to Alaska. Personally, having seen this show in person I am hoping Disney on Broadway releases more of this concert over the next four weeks. I would LOVE to see Josh Strickland’s performance of “My Strongest Suit” from AIDA again!
Next up we have Heidi Blickenstaff performing “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID on 2013 Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise. Heidi was a part of the Little Mermaid on Broadway cast from 1/10/08-8/30/09 as Carlotta, the understudy of Ursula, and was a ensemble member. From 1/27/09-4/6/09 Heidi played the part of Ursula.

When Disney on Broadway shared this amazing video “A Disney Medley in One Take” a few months agoAdam Jacobs and James Monroe Iglehart from Aladdin gained thousands of new fans. Fans of Alan Menken and his music still get goosebumps when they watch it!
Finally, to close up our little impromptu musical concert, we want to share with you a video of Alton Fitzgerald White who played Mufasa in the Broadway cast of The Lion King performing “They Live In You.” Alton has been a member of the Lion King on Broadway cast since 11/13/97.
