Disney from a Teen’s Perspective: Bye, Bye Sorcerers Hat

January 25, 2015

Hat

There are so many mixed opinions on the sorcerer’s hat removal. I’m personally going to miss it. I’ve never seen a day at Hollywood Studios without it. I’m excited for what Disney has in store next!

There are, of course, some good things about it leaving. During Star Wars Weekends last year, they had fireworks but the hat was blocking some of the view. You would either stand close to the stage to see the stage show, or stand far away, missing the stage show, to see the fireworks.

There is definitely a lot I will miss. I will miss seeing it looking down the street. I felt like it welcomed me to the park. Kind of like how Cinderella’s Castle welcomes you to Magic Kingdom. One of the biggest things I really enjoyed was taking pictures. There were so many great angles to try! One night we were there and we were one of the last people in the park (excluding Fantasmic). I got so many great pictures with no people in them!

Of course I’m looking forward to what Disney does next. I’m just hoping its not giant Olaf in its place. LOL! I’m actually kind of excited to seeing the area without the hat since I’ve only seen it with. Do you like seeing it with or without the hat?

About TMSM’s Teen Perspective Writer Gabby Adani:
”Hi Mainstreeters! I’m Gabby and I’m going to be writing about Disney from a teen’s perspective. But first let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’m 13 years old and have had Disney Annual Passes my whole life. Disney is literally my second home. I’m an honors student and enjoy school. My favorite sport is volleyball. I play for both my middle school team and the YMCA. I am also a huge fan of Star Wars.”
