Once Upon A Time on ABC starts tonight…. What am I missing?

Once

Well, the night is finally almost upon us. The season premier of ABC’s Once Upon A Time is tonight at 8:00. So many Main Streeters are excited, they’ve been talking about it all summer long. I remember when the season finale was on, and the tease was there that Elsa was coming to the show, people went crazy over it. I wasn’t allowed to talk about it for 3 days because people who hadn’t seen the finale yet were upset and didn’t want it spoiled! I’ve never seen people get so worked up over a television show, it was quite something to see! Fast forward a few months, and the frenzy is about to begin again….. people are excited…. and then there’s me. I don’t get it.

Sure, I run a Disney community full of awesome people. I eat, sleep and breathe Disney…. it’s in my heart and soul. But for the life of me, I just can’t get into Once Upon A Time. Don’t judge! I’ve tried to watch it a few times, and just never could stay interested in it. I actually felt bad. I mean, people love this show, they love talking about it, they think it’s the cats pajamas….. and then there’s me. What am I missing? Do I need to lock myself in a room and put on a marathon of OUAT until I finally get it? Maybe so!

With the addition of the Frozen characters, I’m willing to try it again. I feel like I HAVE to watch, just for research sake. I was never one to jump on any bandwagon or go with an over popular trend, but, millions of people can’t be wrong, can they? I like to do my own thing, walk to the sound of my own drum beats, but this time I may have to cave and just watch it. I’m not a lost cause! Can anyone else relate to my dilemma? Or if you love Once Upon A Time…. tell us your thoughts, make me a believer! Yes, I’ll be watching, or at least record it to catch sometime this week. I’m working on it, don’t give up on me yet! I hope you all enjoy the premier tonight! Can’t wait to hear more about it and continue the discussion…. have fun! ~M

  1. I’m with you, Michele. I started watching OUAT when it first came on, and I couldn’t force myself to sit through an entire show. I just didn’t feel a connection. I have tried several times to watch another episode, and… nothing. I may watch tonight, just because of the Frozen connection, but I can’t promise to watch the whole thing. Don’t feel bad!! You’re NOT alone!
