There’s something special about being inside a theme park for the debut of a brand-new nighttime spectacular, and last night, we had the opportunity to experience exactly that.
The Main Street Mouse was invited to Universal Epic Universe for a special media event celebrating the premiere of Universal Celestial Goodnight, the park’s new nighttime spectacular. With Celestial Park glowing around us and guests gathering to see the show make its official debut, it was an exciting evening at Universal Orlando Resort’s newest theme park.

A New Way to End the Night at Epic Universe
Universal Celestial Goodnight is designed as a grand finale to a day at Epic Universe, transforming Celestial Park with a combination of dancing fountains, dramatic lighting effects, fireworks, and a sweeping musical soundtrack.
The show draws inspiration from the adventures found throughout Epic Universe’s five incredible worlds:
- Celestial Park
- SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
- Dark Universe
Rather than focusing on just one story or franchise, Universal Celestial Goodnight celebrates the larger journey guests experience while exploring Epic Universe.
The music and visual effects help carry the audience through the spirit and excitement of the park’s different worlds before building toward a large-scale fireworks finale over Celestial Park.
Celestial Park Becomes the Stage
One of the most impressive aspects of Universal Celestial Goodnight is how the show uses Celestial Park itself.
The park’s fountains and water features become part of the performance, with dancing water, lighting effects, music, and fireworks working together to create a finale that feels integrated into the environment around you.
That approach feels especially fitting for Epic Universe. Celestial Park serves as the central world connecting guests to the park’s other immersive lands, and during Universal Celestial Goodnight, that hub becomes the stage for the park’s final big moment of the evening.
