Disney+ News: Hoppers Is Now Streaming and New Simpsons Episodes Are Coming This Summer. If you’re looking for something new to watch on Disney+, June is shaping up to be a pretty exciting month. Whether you’re a fan of Pixar’s newest animated adventure or you’ve spent decades laughing along with Springfield’s favorite family, Disney+ has plenty to keep subscribers entertained this summer. From the arrival of Hoppers to three brand-new Disney+ exclusive episodes of The Simpsons, there’s a lot happening on the streaming service that Disney fans won’t want to miss.
Disney+ continues to add new content to its growing lineup, and this month brings a mix of Pixar storytelling and classic animated comedy.
Hoppers Has Officially Arrived on Disney+

Disney and Pixar’s Hoppers is now streaming exclusively on Disney+, giving fans a chance to experience one of Pixar’s most unique and imaginative adventures from the comfort of home.
The film follows Mabel, an animal-loving teenager who takes advantage of groundbreaking technology that allows her to “hop” her consciousness into a robotic beaver. What begins as a fascinating opportunity to communicate directly with animals quickly turns into a much larger adventure.
As Mabel explores the animal world, she befriends King George, a charismatic beaver leader, and discovers threats that could impact both animals and humans. Together, they must rally the animal kingdom to stop a looming danger posed by local mayor Jerry Generazzo.
The voice cast includes:
- Piper Curda as Mabel
- Bobby Moynihan as King George
- Jon Hamm as Mayor Jerry Generazzo
- Kathy Najimy
- Dave Franco
- Meryl Streep
One of the reasons Hoppers has connected with audiences is its blend of humor, heart, and environmental themes. Like many Pixar films before it, it balances family-friendly fun with meaningful messages that resonate with viewers of all ages.
To celebrate the film’s arrival on Disney+, subscribers can also update their profiles with three new Hoppers avatars featuring:
- Mabel
- King George
- Tom Lizzard
And honestly, Tom Lizzard may quickly become a fan favorite.
The Simpsons Continues Its Historic Run

Fresh off celebrating its incredible 800th episode milestone, The Simpsons isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Disney+ will exclusively premiere three all-new episodes throughout the summer, giving fans brand-new adventures featuring Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and the residents of Springfield.
June 17: Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition
The first new episode arrives June 17.
After Homer leaves the kids home alone with nothing more than a doorbell camera acting as a babysitter, a frustrated Marge begins imagining alternate versions of her husband during a wild night out.
The episode features special guest star Betty Gilpin and musical appearances by Laufey and Tegan and Sara.
Based on the description alone, this sounds like one of those classic Simpsons episodes where things spiral into complete chaos—and that’s usually when the show is at its best.
July 3: Simpsley
The second Disney+ exclusive episode arrives just in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
In Simpsley, Marge Bouvier travels to Italy to convince a wealthy Seymour Skinner to return home. However, things become complicated when she discovers the luxurious life he has built overseas.
Adding to the chaos is Homer Simpsley, a new version of Homer who sounds like he may create even more problems than usual.
Disney describes the episode as a Simpsons noir filled with deception, romance, and plenty of twists.
August 26: Yellow Mirror
The final summer exclusive may be the most intriguing of the three.
Yellow Mirror explores two darker science-fiction-inspired stories involving technology and reality.
One storyline follows Homer after a mysterious lamp reveals unsettling truths about the world around him, while another centers on Maggie forming a friendship with an AI-powered tablet that may have its own agenda.
The premise feels very much in line with previous fan-favorite episodes that blended The Simpsons’ humor with elements of The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror.
A Big Summer for Animation Fans
Between Pixar‘s newest original film and fresh episodes of one of television’s longest-running series, Disney+ is giving animation fans plenty of reasons to keep streaming throughout the summer.
Whether you’re curious about the world of Hoppers or eager to see what new trouble Homer Simpson finds himself in, there’s something for nearly every Disney+ subscriber to enjoy over the next few months.
Disney+ continues to prove that animation isn’t just for kids. From Pixar’s heartfelt storytelling in Hoppers to the satirical humor and creative storytelling that have made The Simpsons a television icon for nearly four decades, there’s no shortage of great content arriving this summer. I’ll definitely be checking out the new Simpsons episodes, but I’m also excited to finally spend some time with Mabel, King George, and the rest of the animal kingdom in Hoppers. Which one are you watching first?
