Universal Orlando Resort has brought back the popular 600 Block Speakeasy experience to Universal CityWalk, giving guests another opportunity to enjoy a hidden Prohibition-inspired lounge filled with secretive storytelling, themed cocktails, live music, and immersive décor. The adults-only venue officially reopened on April 9 and will remain available through August 23, 2026.

Located inside the Briar Suite space at CityWalk, 600 Block transforms the venue into a lavish 1920s-style speakeasy inspired by the original street location of Pat O’Brien’s in New Orleans. The immersive setting presents itself as a warehouse filled with luxury goods and artwork, but hidden beneath the glamorous appearance is a fictional underground operation secretly hiding contraband from authorities during the Prohibition era.

Universal’s entertainment and design teams carefully crafted the space to fully transport guests into the roaring twenties. Velvet furniture, dim lighting, hidden details, jazz-inspired music, chandeliers, vintage décor, and coded references throughout the venue all contribute to the immersive atmosphere. Even labels on decorative bottles feature period-inspired slang terms such as “Giggle Water” and “Coffin Varnish,” adding another layer of authenticity to the experience.

According to Universal CityWalk leadership, the goal was to create an upscale nightlife experience that feels entirely separate from the typical theme park atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to feel like members of an exclusive hidden club as they uncover clues, decode passwords, and discover the secret entrance to the venue.

Part of the fun begins before guests even enter 600 Block. Visitors can receive special membership cards through select locations around CityWalk, including Pat O’Brien’s. The cards contain hidden clues that reveal the secret password needed to gain access to the speakeasy. Guests then follow green signs throughout CityWalk to locate the hidden entrance before knocking on the disguised door and giving the password to enter.

Inside, guests can enjoy a variety of elevated cocktails and small plates created specifically for the experience. Specialty drinks include the Rosé 75, Water Lily, Gilded Old Fashioned, Sirloin Sazerac, and the Universal Orlando Annual Passholder-exclusive Meatpacking District cocktail. For non-alcoholic options, guests can also enjoy the Yuzu Smash Mocktail.

The food menu was designed to complement both the Prohibition-era atmosphere and CityWalk’s modern dining scene. Offerings include Deviled Eggs, Caprese Skewers, Dirty Rice, Millionaire Bacon, Pinwheel Sandwiches, and both Classic and Cookies & Cream Beignets.

Live entertainment also plays a major role in the atmosphere, with musicians performing Thursday through Saturday alongside special themed entertainment experiences throughout the week. Rather than traditional stage performances, the live music is designed to serve as part of the environment itself, helping create the feeling of an authentic hidden lounge from the 1920s.

Universal officials shared that the overwhelming response to last year’s version of 600 Block inspired the team to expand the concept for its return. The updated version now offers even more immersive storytelling, upgraded décor, expanded menu options, and enhanced themed elements designed to make guests feel fully transported into another era.

From hidden passwords and secret entrances to handcrafted cocktails and immersive 1920s theming, the return of 600 Block Speakeasy offers guests a completely unique nightlife experience at Universal CityWalk Orlando. Whether visitors are longtime fans of themed entertainment or simply searching for an upscale adults-only evening during their Universal vacation, the immersive speakeasy delivers an unforgettable atmosphere unlike anything else currently available at the resort.
