Whether you’re meeting the mischievous green one himself, enjoying a heart-warming stage show, or indulging in the themed character breakfast, Grinchmas offers unforgettable family fun. Let’s explore all the highlights and insider tips for making the most of your Who-liday visit!

Who ville Comes to Life Grinchmas Begins Nov 21 at Universal Orlando

Each year, Seuss Landing is transformed with its holiday overlay.  From candy-cane lamp posts, oversized ornaments, and whimsical holiday trees everywhere.   New this year, “Who-ville Tree Lot”, featuring trees themed to beloved Dr. Seuss characters.  The holiday spirit of Who-ville carries throughout in-park shows, CityWalk, resort hotels are all part of the celebration.

One of the highlights of Grinchmas is the show: The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular. The live retelling of Dr. Seuss’s classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” on stage, featuring The Grinch, Cindy-Lou Who, and a cast of Whos, plus the music of Mannheim Steamroller. There are multiple performances each day, check the Universal Orlando app for showtimes on the day you visit.  A tip for the show, plan to arrive 15-30 minutes before as this show is very popular and the theater can only accommodate so many guests during each performance. Here is the video of the full show from the 2024 season:

After seeing the show, you may want to meet the Grinch himself and his dog Max.  The interaction with the Grinch has always been fantastic every time I’ve met him.  The line does tend to get long for this meet and greet, so make sure to allow yourself sometime for the wait.  Here is the video from our interaction with the Grinch from last year

There is also another opportunity to meet the Grinch and his friends at the character breakfast.  The breakfast takes place in the Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo‑pendous in Seuss Landing.  Here you can dine on Green Eggs & Ham Quiche, Betty Lou Who’s Fluffy Ricotta Pancakes, Mrs. Toffee Apple Dapple Chicken Sandwich, and more.  Pricing for this character breakfast is $58.99 plus tax (adult), ~$32.99 plus tax (child ages 3-9) on select dates.  Please keep in mind, a theme park ticket for Islands of Adventure is required for entry into the park and to get into the breakfast.  You can book your breakfast with the Grinch HERE.

  • Dates: Nov 21, 2025 – Jan 4, 2026.

  • Admission: Included with regular park ticket to Universal Islands of Adventure (Seuss Landing). No separate admission needed for Grinchmas.

  • Best time to visit: Weekdays tend to be less crowded; early in the run (late Nov/early Dec) often offers shorter lines.

  • Arrive early for the show: Get to seating ~20-30 minutes ahead to secure a good view, especially with kids.

  • Photo tips: Good spots include near the decorated trees, with The Grinch & Max, and in front of Seuss-styled backdrops.

  • Budget for extras: While entry is included, the character breakfast, special treats, and merchandise are extra.

  • Dining booking: For the breakfast, book in advance via the Universal Orlando app or website — those slots fill up fast.

  • Attire: Even Florida evenings can be chilly in Dec/Jan — bring a light jacket or hoodie for outdoor shows.

  • Stay close: If you’re staying at a Universal hotel, you’ll enjoy holiday décor in your resort, extra convenience and possibly early entry perks.

So mark your calendars for November 21, pack your holiday spirit, and get ready to say “Welcome to Who-ville!” at Universal Orlando Resort. Whether you’re there for the breakfast, the show, the décor, or just the fun of the season — your Grinchmas adventure awaits!
