TMSM’s Adventures in Florida Living ~ Taking the Show on the Road!

March 20, 2019

Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! The big Facebook and Instagram outage last week caused us to miss a Florida Living update, and for that I apologize! It’s crazy how much we rely on social media to interact with others and to get news out! Well, I’m back, so lets chat!

The weekend before last, we took our TMSM show on the road so to speak, to the Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo in Alabama.  This was our first time at the Huntsville convention, so we were excited to check it out.  We met the owner, Jeremy, at Magic City Con in Birmingham AL, which we have worked the past few years.  Working the convention circuit is a lot of work but brings us so many opportunities to meet new people, and get new exposure for our brand.  We met some Main Streeters in person, which is always amazing.  Also, Scott got to host the panel for Lou Ferrigno, yes the OG Incredible Hulk. So much fun! The drive was ten or eleven hours, so it was a tiring weekend for sure.  We really did have a great time, and are so thankful to Jeremy for inviting us to attend.  We will back in Alabama in June for our friend Jamie’s convention, Magic City Con, so watch for more info on that too!

Last weekend, we decided to take another drive and do something different. One thing that we miss about our lives up North, is the various street fairs and festivals that we enjoyed going to. Well, Mount Dora, which is about an hour from Orlando, has a big street fair every year so we decided to go check it out. It really felt like “home” as odd as that sounds. The vendor booths were on various streets, they had great crafts and food, and we enjoyed being away from the usual crowds that the Orlando area always seems to have. Speaking of crowds, it’s Spring Break down here in Florida, so traffic is heavier and crowds are in full effect. We have been so busy though, we haven’t gotten to a park. I guess that’s alright though, the weather has been less than sunny and beautiful…. and did I mention those crowds?

This coming weekend, we are doing another convention! Spooky Empire in Orlando, March 22-24! We have our own booth again, and are looking forward to being there. In past years, TMSM used to cover Spooky Empire just as media, but we have been vendors there in 2017 and 2018, and have come to really enjoy doing so. Just like in Huntsville, we will have all of our various goodies with us, so I hope if you’re in the area that you come by and see us. You can find updates on Spooky Empire’s Facebook page! I’ll be reporting live from the event all weekend as well on our social media accounts, I’m so looking forward to that. Oh, also, I’ve been doing these mini news videos on YouTube, to help keep our readers informed of the latest and greatest stories and Disney coverage! Be sure to check those out too! So, that’s it for this weeks update. I truly appreciate you all following along with us, and the support that you give TMSM. I’ll post recent videos below as well so you can be fully up to date! Until next time, sending you love, blessings and of course pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
