Universal Studios has officially unveiled its newest haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights, and it is bringing the terror of the Evil Dead franchise to life like never before. Evil Dead Burn, based on New Line Cinema’s sixth film in the iconic horror series, will debut as a haunted house starting August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Since its debut in 1981, Evil Dead has grown from a scrappy independent horror film into one of the most beloved and bloody franchises in the genre. The series is known for its gory chaos mixed with dark humor, all centered around the cursed Book of the Dead, which unleashes demonic parasites that turn ordinary people into terrifying Deadites. The new haunted house drops guests right into the nightmare, starting at the Price family’s remote vacation cabin before things spiral into total chaos. Expect Deadites lurking around every corner as guests make their way through, with no guarantee they will make it out unscathed.
Fans looking to show off their love for the house can grab exclusive limited release merchandise, including a T-shirt, hat and a collectible acrylic figure made for the infernal carnival display.
