Dr. Seeker, Wallace Langham Bids Farewell to DINOSAUR at Animal Kingdom. This was just too cool to not report today! As of yesterday, DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has permanently closed to make way for a new Indiana Jones themed attraction. Fans from everywhere always loved the preshow to DINOSAUR featuring Dr. Seeker played by Wallace Langham. Well, this morning, Wallace Langham apparently paid a visit to the attraction for a final goodbye. Cast Member Michael Huang posted the photo below saying-
“This morning, I met this guy in a white lab coat who tried to get me and my friends into a Time Rover. Granted, it was tempting. But, it was not something we were seeking this cold, cold morning. So, we politely declined.”
I asked Michael Huang about this experience and how exciting it must have been. He said “It was a surprise for everyone there. We were just supposed to be there to take group photos of the closing team for DINOSAUR. At the end we got our own photos taken.”
The Dr. Seeker character is of course right along side Dr. Helen Marsh played by Phylicia Rashad. Die hard Disney fans honestly grow to love these characters, and miss them when they’re no longer there. I know for me, these memories are forever in my heart. Yes, I’m a sap for these kinds of things. I think it’s amazing that Wallace Langham made it over to DINOSAUR for one last ride. Not to mention, he gave the Cast Members a chance for a memorable photo opportunity, something they will cherish.
DinoLand USA is now closed to make way for an all new land, Tropical Americas. While yes, we are excited for something new at Animal Kingdom, I think part of us will always have a special place in our hearts for what was. Attractions and such that we won’t soon forget. “Now, let’s go get that Dino!”
