Happy 25th Anniversary Animal Kingdom! Always a “Wild” time!

Hey Main Streeters!

We have another important Disney anniversary on our hands! Animal Kingdom is 25 years old!

This amazing park was brought to life thanks in large part to Joe Rohde, who was the lead designer on the project.

The main theme of this park is animal conservation and protecting the environment. Guests can even become part of this by donating money in any amount, no matter how small to become a conservation hero. You will get a fun button to wear proudly!

Speaking of the animals, there are plenty for you to visit! There are animal trails and bird shows, but the best place to see them all in one place is riding the Kilimanjaro Safari. You will get up close and personal with so many species of animals in the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. The best part is that this attraction is different every time you ride. It totally depends on which animals are feeling social.

Other must do attractions at this park are Expedition Everest, Flight of Passage, and Dinosaur just to name a few.

For all the foodies out there, Animal Kingdom does not disappoint. My favorite quick service restaurant is Satuli Canteen in Pandora. If you’re looking for character interaction and a sit down, airconditioned atmosphere, Tusker House has you covered. These are just the tips of the ice burg though. There are many other treats and eats for you to try on your day in DAK. (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)

My favorite snacks in this park are the Night Blossom drink and the Pongu Lumpia in Pandora.

This park is home to one of the best stage shows in all of Walt Disney World. Make sure you take some time to visit Simba and all of his friends in the Festival of the Lion King in the Harambe Theatre. Check your times guide for showtimes during your visit.

This is only a fraction of what you can experience at Disney’s largest (geographically) theme park. Every time I go to this park, I find something else to explore and learn to love. I know you will, too!

Happy Anniversary Animal Kingdom, and here’s to the next 25!
