Givenchy Teams up with Disney for “The Wonder Gallery” and we’re obsessed!

May 19, 2022

The House of Givenchy is pleased to announce its collaboration with Disney on a limited-edition capsule collection of luxury ready-to-wear. The first in a planned series inspired by some of the most iconic and beloved Disney characters and stories will debut on May 17, 2022.

Designed by Creative Director Matthew M. Williams, “The Wonder Gallery” is a playful and personal homage to some of his favorite Disney characters. Located somewhere between Paris and Los Angeles, this imaginary realm tinged with nostalgia features limited-edition t-shirts and sweatshirts with classic Disney iconography and character silhouettes accompanied by Givenchy signatures.

“Disney has always held a special place in my heart, as it has for so many across generations, countries and cultures. As a boy from California and a father in Paris, Disney has always been a source of meaningful moments throughout my life. It’s a true honor to bring out two iconic brands together for this project,” said Matthew M. Williams, Creative Director, Givenchy.

Givenchy celebrates the iconic legacy of the Walt Disney Animation Studios by collaborating closely with the talented artists from Disney to design pieces featuring audience favorites such as Bambi, Perdita and Pongo from 101 Dalmatians, Elsa and Olaf from Frozen and the Disney heritage character Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit in instantly recognizable silhouettes. Givenchy’s 4Gemblem and signature padlock appear as leitmotifs, visually linking the Parisian couture house and the Magic Kingdom throughout “The Wonder Gallery.”

The first Disney and Givenchy capsule collection will launch May 17, 2022, exclusively on Givenchy.com. A second capsule will follow mid-summer.

Prices: Magic Kingdom and character t-shirts range from $520 to $600. Long-sleeve hooded t-shirt $790.
