Like most lifelong Disney fans, I am always looking for new ways to expand my fandom. I go to the parks whenever I can, buy new merchandise, read Disney inspired books, you name it.
Heading into Spring 2021, I found myself exploring a D23 membership. D23 is the official Disney fan club. Disney enthusiasts from all over join to connect with other Disney friends. I learned that they have a few Gold Member options to choose from. An individual plan for $99.99 or a duo plan for $129.99.
The D23 website has all sorts of information, but here is what each membership will get you in a nutshell:
Individual Plan:
-One personalized Gold Member card and Gold Member certificate.
-Access for one D23 Gold Member to virtual and in person events, plus the ability to bring guest(s) to select events.
-Access for one D23 Gold Member to special D23 Gold offers, including early access, discounts, and exclusive merchandise opportunities.
-One D23 Gold Member collector set.
-One annual subscription (four issues) to Disney twenty-three publication.
Duo Plan:
-Two personalized Gold member cards and Gold Member certificates.
-Access for two D23 Gold Members to virtual and in person events, plus the ability for each Gold Member to bring guest(s) to select events.
-Access for two D23 Gold Members to special D23 Gold offers, including early access, discounts, and exclusive merchandise opportunities.
-One 2021 D23 Gold Member collector set, which will be sent to the primary member.
-One annual subscription (four issues) to Disney twenty-three publication, which will be sent to the primary member.
When I was looking into my membership, the collector’s kit is what sold me. Disney went all out with this fun set! In addition to my membership card, newsletter and certificate, my box was full of one-of-a-kind items! I received a special pennant, a record with two Disney songs on it, pin set featuring Disney icons, and a retro lunch box featuring Mickey and his pals.
The D23 website is a treasure trove of fun information! It gives you Disney+ updates, Merchandise news, Event information, Disney A to Z and the Disney Archives. I am especially enjoying the Disney Archives section. I even learned some Walt Disney quotes I have never heard before!
