New Today From Funko Games: Disney “it’s a small world!”

A few months ago, I was asked to become a Funko Games Influencer and I jumped at the opportunity.  To be able to work with a company that I love so much is wonderful. It’s easy to get excited about products from the one company that fuels my collection hobby like no other! Some of you may only know Funko for their Pops!, but did you know they also made games?  Not only games, but games that belong to some of the biggest fandoms in the entertainment world.  One of the most nostalgic Disney attractions has always been “it’s a small world.” Ever since Walt Disney created the attraction to be a part of the New York Worlds Fair in 1964, fans from around the world have known this ride, it’s a classic.  You also can’t forget of course, the theme song that gets stuck in your head for hours and hours after riding it.  On that note, I’m very excited to share with you, a brand new product just released from Funko Games. Disney “it’s a small world!”

“It’s the happiest cruise that ever sailed! Celebrate the classic Disney attraction, “it’s a small world,” in this playful journey! Discover the joyful children and whimsical animals of the world. Collect colorful picture cards by spotting scenes that can be seen from your little boat. Can you collect the most cards before the end of the day?”

Earlier this year, I was on a video call with my contact at Funko Games and he gave me a sneak peak of some of the merchandise that would be debuting in the coming months. In particular, this game caught my attention.  When I think of board games, I think of the flat, basic games which are really nothing spectacular.  This game however, takes the board game up to something magically  cool.  A mini version of “it’s a small world” comes to life on your table.  The playing board is 3 dimensional and your game piece is a boat that makes its way through different rooms.  Check out the video I put together below, to show you how the board is set up and what it looks like, plus a brief overview of how to play:

Interesting Gameplay Features

  • Game includes a 3D game board centerpiece with beautifully illustrated scenes from the classic Disney attraction
  • 80 unique picture cards featuring joyful children and whimsical animals from around the globe
  • Collect cards in a handy card holder that features iconic topiary animal art that comes straight from outside the attraction
  • Follow the waterway in your team’s boat and match your picture cards to the scenes as you journey from room to room
  • The iconic clock tower keeps track of the time from sunup to sunset — or you can play until the sleepy moon comes up
  • Beautiful, gift-able game with gold foil and sparkling accents on the package.

Game Details
