Every year I always say that no one does Christmas like Disney. Regardless of which Disney destination is your preferred spot, you know that if you visit during November and December, you’ll be filled with the spirit of the holidays. Decorations, music, merchandise, food…. you name it, all holiday magic. I decided to ask the members in our Facebook group, TMSM Fan Nation, what their favorite part is about visiting Disney during the holidays. Here’s what some of them had to say!
These are a few of my favorite (Disney Christmas) things…
Audra Turner- The snow on Main Street! It was so much fun with all the decorations & music to walk down Main Street while it was snowing but it wasn’t freezing outside!
Robert Carlson- Definitely the decorations but also that the characters are dressed up for Christmas too!
Kelly Dover Jordan- I love all the decorations! It’s hard to believe that Disney World could become more magical, but at Christmas it surely does! We will be there this year on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for the first time! Can’t wait!
Suzanne Bellow Feezor – I love EPCOT at Christmas. The decorations, the different holiday traditions in each country.
Denise Marie Amalfitano- I love the Magical Christmas Spirit from everyone in the parks. Such a happy feeling everywhere!
Sara Miller Morris- The tree at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. The first time we went to DL for the 60th anniversary, it was also Christmastime. The first thing we did when we got there was stare at the tree in awe. I’ll never forget my 3 year old Luke and 5 year old Grace – their faces were everything in that moment!! So, every time we see a Disney tree, I remember that moment and how special it was to be there for Christmas and the anniversary. Maybe our best trip ever!
Sara Garoutte- I love the holiday feel and smells. The resorts are decked out so gorgeous and everything is just amplified I think. The special costumes and general vibe of everything is fantastic!
Gordon Holmes- I love all of the Christmas gingerbread creations at the different resorts! The Grand Floridian’s life-sized gingerbread house is amazing!
Franchesca Kader- I love the parade! Sitting down and watching with my family is the perfect downtime, its just absolutely magical.
Leann Nicole- When it snows at Hollywood Studios. When I first saw it I felt like a little girl seeing the castle for the first time.
Courtney Popper- Seeing my kids reactions to the decoration!
Paula Ann Cartwright-Johnson- My favorite is staying at the campground and riding the golf cart around looking at all the campsite decorations.
Karen Stewart- It isn’t Christmas to me until I’ve seen the Castle all lit up! It is breathtaking, and makes me cry every time. We like to find a spot to sit and just watch the castle change colors. That is Christmas to me.
Deana Kemp`- Candlelight Processional at Epcot!
Stacey Thompson- I love the snow on Main Street…. decorations everywhere, the resorts on the monorail loop all decked out, the Christmas party, it’s just truly magical this time of year!
Mary Ann Adona- I love the Christmas Music all over the parks! I sing every song! The music really gets you in true Christmas Spirit.
All of these answers from our readers are pretty great. So, what about me? Well, my favorites about Christmas at Disney would have to be…. basically everything. I can’t get enough of Cinderella Castle lit up and Main Street filled with decor and “snow.” The special food, photo opportunities, shows and more, it’s all wonderful! Being on Disney Property during the holidays is pure magic, no matter where you go. It’s not just a place, it’s a feeling. I still stand by my original statement… no one does Christmas like Disney!
