Springtime at Walt Disney World Resort is my favorite time of year – the sun is shining, the birds are chirping and the 2019 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom, serving up amazing food and drinks alongside eye-catching floral displays and character-themed topiaries.

If you haven’t experienced this festival yet, you should put it on your calendar – immediately! Grab a few festival passports, and you and your friends can spend a day tasting your way through more than a dozen outdoor kitchens. With options such as smoked salmon stacks, cider flights, mixed berry buttermilk cake with apple cider sorbet, grilled street corn on the cob, and of course, the festival-favorite frozen dessert violet lemonade, there is no shortage of yummy treats to taste – or post to your social media channels!

While you’re sipping, sampling and strolling, be sure to stop and smell the roses – literally! The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival offers dozens of Disney-themed topiaries, beautiful gardens and wildlife habitats for you and your crew to experience. Take a break and relax at the Mind Full retreat hosted by AdventHealth, or visit the Goodness Garden Butterfly House presented by GoGo squeeZ to get up close and personal with several species of butterflies.

If nostalgia is what you’re looking for, you won’t want to miss the Garden Rocks Concert Series, where artists such as LoneStar (April 24-26), Don Felder (May 5-7), Peabo Bryson (May 12-13), and War (May 22-23) will be performing throwback jams.

And the fun doesn’t stop once the sun goes down! Now, more than ever, it’s the perfect time to conclude your fun- and food-filled day at Epcot by taking in “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” during its farewell season.

The festival runs through June 3, and a day of living your best foodie life is exactly what your Disney vacation needs!
