The geniuses behind the food at Disney parks continue to give the people what they want. Case in point: a brand-new Mermaid Doughnut that’s making a splash at Walt Disney World very soon. This is essentially the doughnut’s answer to Disney’s Mermaid Cupcake, and if you love a homemade doughnut that’s equal parts delicious and Instagrammable, this was made for you.
So, what exactly is in this Ariel-inspired treat? It’s a yeast doughnut (nice and cakey) topped with purple icing, crunchy sprinkles, and a few white chocolate treats straight from Ariel’s treasure chest. It will soon be available at Prince Eric’s Village Market, which is not terribly well known (there’s no explicit sign) but easy to find. The market is right across from the Little Mermaid ride in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. If you can’t find it, just ask around for the Mermaid Doughnut — there’s only one!
