“IT IS TIME!!!!!”  These words give me chills every time I hear them at the beginning of my favorite show, The Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom.   The power and energy of this show brings out every emotion in me and my whole family.

The show is located in the Harambe Theatre in Africa at Animal Kingdom.  The theater is a good size and there’s not a bad seat in the house.  Everything happens on the floor right in front of you. Each section represents a different animal: the giraffe section (represented by a giant giraffe), warthog section (represented by Pumba), lion section (represented by the Lion King himself), and the elephant section (represented by a beautiful elephant).

Once the show starts the floor comes alive with amazing performers representing all kinds of animals in the Pridelands.  The music will have you dancing in your seat.  There are tumble monkeys who do incredible acrobatics, there is a fire guy (as my kids like to call him) who spins fire, the beautiful bird who soars high above the theater, stilt walkers who are full of energy, dancers who put their heart and soul into every performance, and of course the singers with their absolutely incredible vocals.

This show is definitely for all ages.  There are even a few parts where you or a family member might be picked to join in the show.

Shows run throughout the day and Fast Passes are available.  I highly recommend when you are at Animal Kingdom to go check out The Festival of the Lion King.
