Happy Wednesday! This week we’ve had a lot of “company” so to speak, and it’s been a busy one! I’ll explain why I have company in italics later…. but for now, we have some chatting to do!

Last week, my parents came to town to visit and to see our new house. They haven’t been to Florida since November, so we were excited to have them here with us. The only downside to moving to a new house when you live far from home, is the fact that your family can’t come by to see it right away. So, needless to say, I was ready for house guests! Whenever my mom and dad are in town, we like to plan things to show them a good time. After all, it’s Orlando, there is so much to do! On Thursday, we drove out to Tarpon Springs. Why there? Well, we had heard that there was a Detroit style Coney Island restaurant out that way, so we had to check it out. The food WAS indeed just like back home, so it was worth the drive, plus we walked around the town and did a little shopping as well. It was a fun day. Speaking of fun…..

On Friday evening, we wanted to take mom and dad someplace new, so we went to the Orlando Eye complex over on International Drive. I hadn’t been on the Orlando Eye since the media event in 2015, so I was excited to go. The ride on the wheel is beautiful, you can see everything from up there…. Disney, Universal, Sea World, even Kennedy Space Center. It’s awesome. After that, we went to Madame Tussaud’s wax museum. Oh my gosh, we had such a great time. The museum wasn’t crowded, so we were able to take our time walking through. They put out props for you to take photos with your favorite celebrities (well, the wax version) so it’s actually a lot of fun. I’m so glad we went!

On Saturday, we had friends over for a BBQ, which was a great time. Yay, more company! On Mother’s Day, we went out for Italian food at Buca Di Beppo in Celebration. It was wonderful to have my mom here that day! This week has been so rainy… we really haven’t done a whole heck of a lot. That’s ok though, it’s still great having my parents in town, even if we’re not out sight seeing or keeping super busy. They go home on Friday, so we’re trying to make the best of it despite the rainy weather. We still did our live show on Monday, and we’ve still kept up with Disney news…. like the poor dragon from the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Regardless of what’s happening, we still need to work, and that’s ok too. Speaking of work, next week we will be getting ready for MegaCon Orlando! I’m so excited but there’s so much to do! I’ll tell you more next Wednesday! Oh, before I go…. the “company” joke. There’s this comedian, Sebastian Maniscalco, and he does this skit about what it was like to have company years ago, as opposed to how it is in modern times. It’s funny and the one liners have become a staple in our house, I’ll share the clip below. Well, that’s it for this week. Thank you all for keeping up with us, it’s very much appreciated. Until next time, sending you lots of love, blessings and pixie dust. See ya real soon! ~M
