Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! It’s currently Spring Break for Florida schools, and it’s been busy. Spring Break? No resting here, let’s chat about it!
We are in the middle of getting ready to move, and it’s been hectic. Ok, beyond hectic, more like exhausting. Usually when the kids are home from school, we try to plan little outings or something fun to do, but this year, there’s sadly no time for fun. We are going to be moving one week from Saturday, and there’s so much to do! Packing, painting, organizing, cleaning… plus our day to day work. When we lived in Michigan, we always had help with things like this, but now, it’s a whole different ballgame. It’s honestly a lot of work for just two people, but we’re doing it. Getting the new house ready has been hard, but fun too. Remember how I mentioned Disney decorating? Well, that’s coming along too. We painted the master bathroom purple last week, so my idea for a Rapunzel bathroom is coming together. Oh and to add to that, my talented friend Joe Diebold sent me one of his photos of the Tangled area at the Magic Kingdom. It’s beautiful. The little bathroom off the kitchen is done as well, and I’m pretty happy with it. It’s a pretty green color, and I’ll be adding some Disney there as well!
In addition to moving preparations, I have TWO media events this week at Disney! Tomorrow, I’m getting my first look at Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios! Yes, we get to go behind the scenes and tour the construction site. I’m excited. We’re not allowed to take photos or video, but I’ll do my best to be descriptive in the write up. On Friday, there’s an all day event at Epcot. Be sure to watch our Facebook and Instagram for coverage, you know I’ll be posting what I can! Speaking of Facebook…. ugh. As a lot of people know, Facebook has changed their settings yet again, and it’s been a killer for small business and page owners. I’ve had members ask why they can’t see our main Facebook page OR even see our private group, TMSM Fan Nation. Truth is, it’s not us, it’s Facebook and there isn’t much we can do. What can you do as our readers? Make sure you check “see first” on our pages, and be sure to like and share posts, it should help keep us in your feed better.
