TMSM’s Adventures in Florida Living ~ Disney, Disney and More Disney!

Happy Wednesday Friends! It’s time for our weekly chat, so let’s get started!

We have been working SO much lately. Between media events for Disney and the Lularoe frenzy, family time has gotten to be a bit of a challenge. The kids had a long weekend, so we decided to MAKE time for just them. Friday night I asked them what they wanted to do, and they picked Hollywood Studios as we haven’t been there in awhile. We walked around a bit, went on Toy Story Mania and Rock N Roller Coaster, and stayed for the fireworks. It was much needed. I usually make sure to take my motion sickness medicine to the Studios when we go, because of their rides, but I forgot. It didn’t stop me though, as you can see from the picture above. I have a hard time telling the kids no on this stuff, they’re getting older and I know it won’t be “cool” for them to go on rides with me much longer. Or maybe they won’t be like that, I hope not. Regardless we had a great time, even if we were only there for a couple of hours. I also saw that the Studios is already getting ready for Christmas, which is exciting! I know, I know… it’s not even Halloween yet, but still! While we were there, I got stopped by a few Main Streeters which is always nice. I love that part of my job, meeting the people who follow TMSM is a high point! There were another great group of people I stopped to chat with, but the picture came out dark. Lots of fun!

Saturday evening I had a media event at Epcot. We got some work done during the day, took the kids to lunch, then I had to get ready. Disney invited us to come out and do the Party for the Senses inside the World Show Place between Canada and the UK at World Showcase. It’s really a big convention center, you wouldn’t think so by just looking from the outside. Party for the Senses is a special ticket event which features various foods and wine to try out, plus has great musical entertainment. I’ve never been to a party like that before, Disney does a great job with it. Not to mention, it was a nice change to get a little dressed up. You even get to keep the wine glasses on the tables, which makes for a great souvenir. As we were leaving the party, Illuminations was going off so we stopped to watch. I’ll admit, I got a little teary eyed. Sometimes I still can’t believe this is my job, my passion for Disney turned into a career and I so don’t take that for granted. It has it’s ups and downs, but honestly I can’t complain. I always believe that God has a greater plan for us, even when we don’t understand what it is. If you’ve read my book, then you know how bumpy the road has been for us. We have to be thankful for what we have, and I truly am.

On Sunday, we had Lularoe packaging to do during the day, but later in the afternoon we took the boys to the Magic Kingdom, yes more Disney! The park was closing at 7:00 as it was a party night, but we did manage to get in about 3 hours of fun. Afterwards we took the boat over to the Campgrounds for dinner. It was such a beautiful evening for a boat ride, plus the kids didn’t have school the next day so there was no hurry. On the way back, we stopped in front of the park to get pics of the train station. It looks so spooky during the Halloween parties, we love it! I’d have loved to have gone in, but it was sold out of course. Within two weeks, Halloween will be gone and Christmas will be in full swing at the Magic Kingdom. I’m kind of excited for that too! But I do adore those Disney Halloween decorations!

So, in the past week, I’ve gotten to see the taping of Wheel of Fortune at Epcot plus meet Pat and Vanna. Got texts from family and friends who saw me on The Chew, got in some family time, made some ladies super happy with their Disney Lularoe goodies, and went to a fancy party at Epcot. What in the world? I’m exhausted, but so thankful! This week has been more quiet so far, and it’s needed. We never know how much we can do until we actually do it, if that makes sense. I always tell Scott I’m tired, or I can’t do this or that…. but he reminds me that I can. And I do. You can too, just remember that. We’re stronger than we even know. I promise you! Well… that’s it for this week…. it’s been crazy but a good crazy. Thank you for following along with us each week, I love you for it. Until next time, sending you love, blessings and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M

  1. Dear Michele,

I took this post as a chance to say thank you for bringing all the Disney Magic right over the Altantic Ocean to Hamburg, Germany. Me and my familiy can’t wait to read new posts of your Disney activities. For me it feels like I’m there in WDW, although I’m thousands of miles away.

But it will take only 6 days to get back to the happiest place on the earth. We’re heading to Miami next monday an then on Tuesday we’ll go to Orlando for three days of great fun.

Thank you very much and have great time.

    Yours sincerly

    Sven
