So, my favorite time of year is upon us.  I love the Halloween season so much.  All the scary and spooky things everywhere, television shows about all the different haunted attractions all over the world and of course Halloween time at Disney parks.  I’ve always been a huge fan of the Haunted Mansion and the villains so when I heard the October theme for the Funko Disney Treasures Box was Haunted Forest I couldn’t wait for it to arrive.

Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Forest,
the next stop on the Disney Treasures adventure!
First I wanted to talk about the box, I think it’s cool that they designed the box to look like an old steamer trunk and they have stickers on it from the “travels” of the different themes. The current theme sticker is always in color.

Once you open up your treasure box, you will see the map in the lid of all the different thems and then also the next theme.  In this case, the next one is Snowflake Mountain.  You are also presented with the first 2 treasures:

I really like the patch this month, it’s the Magic Mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs done in Pop! style.  Great color and design on this patch.

The next item is the monthly pin, this one features Jafar in Pop! style from the movie Aladdin

As you open up the box more the first thing you will notice is a black bag, perfect for Trick or Treating featuring Zero in his Pop! form from the film, The Nightmare Before Christmas.  The bag is really good quality and fairly large which I was impressed with.

Next up I pulled out the Dorbz for this month that features the puppy hating Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations.

Next up was a tin that featured images from the Haunted Mansion.  Once I opened the tin and the bag inside the figure was a personal favorite of mine and Michele’s, The Hatbox Ghost.  We are huge fans of the Hatbox Ghost and his story so this is a great addition to my collection.

Last was the figure I had been waiting to see in person.  Funko and Disney Treasures always teases out what the Funko Pop! will be in the coming box.  This month’s Pop! vinyl is Maleficent’s Dragon.  This Pop! is larger than the average, it’s 6 inches tall and the detail is fantastic.  I had to carefully open the package so I could see this one even better.

This is a fantastic addition to my collection and happy to show this one off.

The final thing in the box is the Treasure Map/concept art for the items in the box.

All the Disney Treasure Boxes have been fantastic, but this one is by far my absolute favorite so far.  If your not a subscriber and interested in getting your own subscription to the Funko Disney Treasures box, you can sign up HERE.  The boxes are delivered every other month and also make a great gift for the Disney fan on your list.  Thank you for reading and I look forward to sharing my review of the December box, Snowflake Mountain.
