More Closures and Evacuations for Walt Disney World Ahead of #HurricaneIrma

We’ve been updating our readers all day, with the latest news and closures for the Walt Disney World Resort this coming weekend because of Hurricane Irma. I have some new information, and will recap some old, just to make sure everyone has all the info we have received so far.

Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground~

The campgrounds will begin closing on Saturday afternoon, 9/9

Performances for Mickey’s Backyard BBQ and Hoop-Dee-Doo Review are cancelled from Saturday through Monday.

Disney’s Water Parks~

Blizzard Beach will be closed on Friday and Saturday.
No announcement yet for Typhoon Lagoon

Disney Vacation Club Beach Resorts

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will begin closing on Friday afternoon at 2:00pm

Disney Cruise Line

Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream cancelled sailings for the weekend.

Adventures By Disney

Backstage Magic is cancelled for Friday 9/8 and Monday 9/11
Backstage Magic and Gardens of the World tours are cancelled for Tuesday 9/12

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is CANCELLED for Sunday night

Night of Joy is cancelled for Saturday evening.

With the uncertainty of the path of Hurricane Irma, I’m assuming more closures are coming. As soon as I hear, I will report the news. Stay tuned to TMSM for the latest happenings. Be safe everyone.
