Earlier this Spring we shared with you the new order ahead “Mobile Order” MDE feature that would be available for guests visiting the new Satu’li Canteen when Pandora opened. Today we are excited to share that as of today, there are now 15 quick-service locations in the Walt Disney World theme Parks and at Disney Springs offering Mobile Ordering.
Guests using Mobile Ordering simply use MDE to select and pay for their meal, and then when they arrive at the location they reopen MDE and tap “I’m Here, Prepare My Order.” When your food is ready you will receive an alert in your app and then all you have to do is go to the “Mobile Order Pick Up” area of that dining location to pick up your meal. Per the Disney Parks Blog “the new service saves you time when ordering meals at quick-service restaurants by allowing you to order on demand, pay in advance and skip the line, and not have mealtime interfere with time spent enjoying all of the other attractions and experiences throughout the resort.”
Guests with food allergies will want to remember that the app does have limitations when it comes to customizing their orders, so they will probably still want to order at the counter after asking for an allergy chef.
