When planning our trip to WDW, one of our ‘must-do’ restaurants for dinner is Raglan Road. The food, the environment, the entertainment. We are immediately transported to Ireland. Having only eaten there for dinner, we were excited to learn that they offer brunch on Saturday and Sunday, and quickly made a reservation for our upcoming trip.

If you have ever walked by Raglan Road around dinner time, there is usually a line out of the door. When we arrived for our brunch reservation, the restaurant was empty. Granted it was early, but I expected to have to wait. We were sat and greeted by our server. We started with coffee, a Strawberry Fields Mimosa, and a Bloody Mary (house made – very thick). The cocktails were good, but certainly not worth the $14.50 price tag.

After we ordered, the server brought out their signature Irish Soda Bread with Guinness dipping sauce. This is served at brunch, lunch, and dinner and is DELICIOUS! Totally worth every calorie if you are counting!

Though limited in number, there are still some good breakfast options. If you aren’t in the mood for breakfast, there are plenty of other sandwiches, salads, and entrees to choose form. Since it was still before noon, we decided to stick with the breakfast options. We decided on Eggs Benedict, Pancakes, and an omelet with spinach, mushrooms, and cheese (not on the menu but they made it for us), and a side of Pork Belly Hash. If you don’t like eggs that are baked, poached, or fried, you are out of luck and will most likely have to request something be made for you.

Food RR

The food came out quickly and was exactly how we ordered it. Most meals are served with roasties (potatoes), a roasted tomato, and bread so be prepared for a lot of food!

By the time our food came out, I noticed that the restaurant was getting a bit busier. The dancers came out on the stage and performed to a few songs, which is always a treat!

Food 5

The food was good, but there wasn’t anything that made it special. I feel like we could have gotten the same breakfast at one of the resort restaurants and paid less money. And be warned: there aren’t free refills on the coffee, so if you get more than one, you pay for each! As for me and my family, I think we’ll stick to dinner at Raglan Road from now on. It was a good experience, but not something we have to do again!
