Disney-Pixar’s Cars 3 is now open in theaters. We told you last week that Disney’s Hollywood Studios was hosting a new meet and greet in honor of the film, and yesterday we went over to check it out. Guests can meet Cruz Ramirez, a new character in Cars 3. The meet up is located just past Toy Story Midway Mania in the Pixar area of the Studios. It’s a covered spot, and has Cruz along with the Piston Cup. You can also still see a clip of Cars 3 inside One Man’s Dream, in the back theater that’s there. There is a cast member back there with Cruz Ramirez, and they add magic shots to the photos, that include Lightning McQueen in an animated clip. It’s really cute. There is so much going on over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios right now, with the construction of the new Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land that are being built. They have more character meet and greets around the park currently, I think to give guests a little extra magic and more fun options while parts of the park are closed off. Along with Cruz Ramirez, you can also meet Starlord and Baby Groot inside One Man’s Dream, at the former Moana spot. Don’t forget about the Star Wars Launch Bay for characters like Chewbacca, Kylo Ren and BB8! Stay tuned for more updates as we hear!
*Cars 3 is the eighteenth Pixar feature film and the third installment in the Cars film franchise, following Cars 2 (2011). It is directed by Brian Fee, a storyboard artist on Cars (2006) and Cars 2, and stars the voices of Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo, Armie Hammer, Bonnie Hunt, Larry the Cable Guy, Nathan Fillion, Kerry Washington and Lea DeLaria. The film was released on June 16, 2017.
