Photos of Construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

June 3, 2017

As you know, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is undergoing a huge makeover in the back of the park with the addition of Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land.  It seems like each time we go there, more of the old back lot area is gone, and either new structures or dirt piles are in it’s place! They’re moving right along.  We went through the back entrance of Hollywood Studios yesterday and got this photo of the Slinky Dog coaster that’s being constructed in the Toy Story area.  You can’t see a lot, but the red track is visible.

There’s also another structure being built but there’s no way to tell what it is.

Once we got inside the park, we walked to the back to go near Star Tours and the shop there, and you could see a little bit over the construction walls. As you can clearly tell, not much of the Streets of America is left, but there is some new construction going up that wasn’t there the last time we were at the Studios.

Disney has big plans for both Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land, but we’re going to have to wait a bit longer to see things develop. I heard that Disney is going to be making some announcements regarding these new lands next month at D23 in Anaheim so stay tuned for more!
