Spooky Empire, has quickly become one of the most respected horror event promotions companies in the United States, bringing to life two of the most popular horror conventions in the nation. Spooky Empire is returning to the Wyndham Orlando Resort on April 21st and running through the 23rd. If you recall, we attended their event last year and we had a fantastic time.
Although, the convention focus is a horror event, they get media guests who are crossovers from other genres. This year included, in their guest list, is Joan Cusack, whom Disney fans know as the cowgirl Jessie from the Toy Story franchise. She has also starred in such films as Sixteen Candles, Working Girl, Say Anything…, Addams Family Values and many, many more.
Joan Cusack has received Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her roles in the romantic comedy-drama Working Girl and the romantic comedy In & Out, she and also received a Golden Globe nomination for In & Out.
She was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1985 to 1986. She starred on the Showtime hit drama/comedy Shameless as Sheila Gallagher, a role for which she has received five consecutive Emmy Award nominations, winning for the first time in 2015. She is the sister of actors Ann Cusack and John Cusack.
In addition to Joan, Malcolm McDowell (Clockwork Orange), Dee Snider (lead singer from Twisted Sister), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) and many other guests will be in attendance. For more information about Spooky Empire and how you can attend, visit their website HERE.
