Today Disney Travel announced that the Disney Magic and Wonder would be getting new concierge stateroom options to “complement existing suite accommodations” and in the process removing the Category 04A Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah and turning them into Category V Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs.
Ten staterooms on each classic ship ( 8024, 8044, 8050, 8076, 8082, 8084, 8524, 8544, 8550, 8584) will be affected by this change. Work to exchange amenities and furnishings will occur on October 1, 2017 on the Wonder and October 2, 2017 on the Magic.
Per Disney, guests who have already reserved these cabins on sailings after the refurbishment will not lose their cabins or be moved. Guests already booked into these cabins will get to enjoy the upgraded category 04A cabin amenities at no additional cost. But, guests who booked these cabins as a 04A price will “not eligible for pre-cruise or onboard concierge service, including access to the concierge lounge.” To enjoy the new amenities and concierge amenities guests will need to upgrade their cabin to reflect category V pricing.
