Today In Disney History January 19th.  Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade was a combination counter service restaurant and game arcade at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  The restaurant was inspired by Pizza Planet from the first Toy Story film.

Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade was closed on January 19, 2016, to began a major refurbishment into PizzeRizzo, a Muppets-themed restaurant located in Muppets Courtyard open in Fall 2016.

Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade was located directly across from the Muppet Vision 3D attraction. The restaurant offers pizza and salad fast-food meals.  The arcade is a haven for kids looking for a brief respite from running around the parks.  Old-time favorites like Skee-Ball, along with the latest video games and “The Claw” machine, lets guests test their skill to see if they can grab a small stuffed toy.  Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade was a very popular restaurant and would be very busy during normal meal times.

Make sure you have lots of quarters to play these video and other arcade games, use tokens worth .25 cents each.  Most of the games require from two to four tokens.

At Disneyland Park in Paris, Buzz Lightyear’s Pizza Planet was opened using the same theme as Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade.  Unfortunately, Buzz Lightyear’s Pizza Planet Restaurant closed on August 2016.
