Since the end of the Osborne Lights in January, many Walt Disney World guests have asked us “Will Hollywood Studios have anything special for Christmas to replace the Osborne lights?” This morning we learned the answer to that is an impressive and tinseled YES and we can’t wait to share the news with you.
Starting November 14 and running until December 31st, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” a new show with ” state-of-the-art projections, special effects, fireworks and a rousing seasonal musical score” will be held on and above the Chinese Theater. The new show will feature the elves from Prep and Landing, and feature clips and music from Disney movies and holiday specials like Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” “Bambi,” Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
Guests who want to experience just a bit more holiday magic can attend the new Jingle BAM! Holiday Dessert Party. The new special ticket event party will have reserved seating, specialty beverages and desserts and special 3D HoloSpex® glasses that will “create spectacular holographic illusions of gingerbread men, candy canes, snowflakes and ornaments on any bright point of light.”
A date for booking and pricing for the new Dessert Party was not announced, but know we will update you with that information as soon as we have it. Sadly Disney did not mention if the new Star Wars Galactic Spectacular would merely be on hiatus until January or if a new show would premiere in 2017.
*UPDATE we have learned you can call in to book 11/14-12/10 as of today. No word on when 12/11 on will open.
