Hello and Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! I hope you’re all hanging in there, especially those of you who got a lot of snow last weekend. It’s odd to see all that snow online and on tv and not be a part of it. It was cold here last weekend, but no snow of course. So, since we haven’t been shoveling snow, what have we been doing? Lets catch up!
Truthfully, we haven’t been up to much! We’ve been busy, and since it’s been cold, we’ve been laying low! However, we did have friends come to town on Friday night, so we decided to head out to Disney Springs for awhile to get out of the house. Sometimes you just need some goodies from Earl of Sandwich, right? As close as we live to Disney property, we don’t go to Disney Springs as much as you’d think, as it’s usually really crowded in the evenings. Well, when it’s cold here, take note, Disney Springs isn’t busy! So, we had a fabulous dinner, I had the Holiday Turkey Sandwich, which is a favorite for a lot of us, got a brownie, and walked around!
Our group headed over to the toy store because the kids wanted to look around. There is SO much Star Wars merchandise at One Upon a Toy now, it’s crazy! Being that I was with Star Wars fans, they really look their time in there, they loved it. After the toy store, we wandered around, got our free piece of chocolate at Ghirardelli, listened to the DJ outside the World of Disney store, then headed over to Starbucks for a drink and to chat. All in all, it was fun, and we didn’t freeze too bad!
Do you ever get so many ideas in your head, ideas that you’re pumped about, that you don’t even know where to begin with them? Well, that’s me these days. We’re in a new year, and I need to step it up. We have been running TMSM in the same way for so long, and I want to add even more. I want to reach out to our readers more, even when they can’t come to a meet up or whatever. I did a live feed from Disney Springs as a test since I had one of my admins with me, Greg. I hit go live on my phone, and he shared it to TMSM Fan Nation. It worked….. sort of. We have a lot of kinks to work out, but it’s on my to do list. Ok, a lot of things are on my to do list, but this is pretty up there. Always working on it…..
So, that’s it for this weeks check in. I’m not sure what we have planned for the next week, other than getting The Main Street Monthly ready for the February issue. Wow, that takes a LOT of work, but we’re always up for the challenge! Other than magazine work, who knows what we’ll be up to, but you can bet we’ll talk about it next week!
