Huge news has just arrived about the upcoming live-action interpretation of Beauty and the Beast coming from Walt Disney Studios.
The studio announced this morning that it has found its Belle, casting Emma Watson for the role. Emma most notably played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, and this news is sure to bring a lot of happiness to the many fans she earned through her success in that and other roles over her career. While the film doesn’t have an official release date just yet, production is anticipated to begin later this year. Beauty and the Beast will be directed by Bill Condon and produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman.
