From the Oh My Disney blog:
It’s officially 2015, or as it will later be known, it’s the year we all fell deeper in love with Richard Madden. And the year Star Wars came back. And, well, you’ll just have to read this to find out the rest of the exciting Disney things coming this year:
Cinderella
A live-action feature inspired by the classic fairy tale, Cinderella promises to bring the animated version to life, complete with amazing British actors, beautiful clothes, and possibly the most charming prince on record. It will be in theaters March 13.
Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration
It’s time to celebrate 60 years of The Happiest Place on Earth! Said Michael Colglazier, president of the Disneyland Resort, “We’re excited to honor our rich history, to celebrate the incredible magic that fills our resort today, and to create unforgettable memories with our guests for many years to come.” (quote via the Disney Parks Blog)
The Return of Pretty Little Liars
The Pretty Little Liars winter premiere is January 6! Will we finally find out what happened to Mona? Only time will tell.
The Jungle Book
Inspired by Disney’s animated film of the same name, this live-action adventure features one of our favorite casts in recent memory, including but not limited to Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Christopher Walken, Lupita Nyong’o, Idris Elba, and Scarlett Johansson. The Jungle Book will be in theaters October 9.
Two Disney●Pixar Films
We’ve been waiting so long for another Disney●Pixar movie, and we’re finally being rewarded with two in 2015! On June 19, we’ll get Inside Out (trailer here), the story of 12-year-old Riley and her emotions: Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), and Sadness (Phyllis Smith).
A mere five months after that, Disney●Pixar is releasing The Good Dinosaur, a film to answer the age-old question: What if dinosaurs never went extinct?
And Double the Marvel Action!
The much-anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron will be in theaters May 1 and we’ll get to see Paul Rudd as Ant-Man on July 17. Check out the Age of Ulton trailer in our earlier blog post.
More Girl Meets World
Yes, our staff is made up of seemingly normal twenty-somethings, but we’re hooked on this Boy Meets World reboot which will feature (drumroll…) ERIC this year.
Tomorrowland
George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, and Britt Robertson star in this mystery-adventure about a jaded scientist and an optimistic teen who embark on a dangerous mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place in quote, somewhere in time and space. Also, the trailer looks rad.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Bah BAH bah bah bah BAAAH BAH, oh, sorry. Didn’t see you there.
We can’t quite handle our excitement for this movie. See our earlier post with the teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens featuring (gasp!) a stormtrooper without his helmet on and a heavily-discussed new lightsaber design.
D23 Expo
The D23 Expo is the largest Disney fan event in the world! The best of The Walt Disney Company will be showcased under one roof in Anaheim. Last time, we saw lots of celebrities, mind-blowing cosplay, and Abraham Lincoln’s animatronic head. We can only imagine the wonders in store for this year. Have you gotten your tickets yet?
