From Real Life to Reel Life

We all know Disney movies are magical. And the process of making these films is just as magical. It’s always fun to take a peek into the inspiration behind some of our favorite characters. A lot of them were influenced by live action models, including live action puppy models! Take a look at these behind the scene images from Disney classics:

Tinker Bell from Peter Pan

We are impressed by the size of those giant scissors.

Cinderella from Cinderella

We’re seriously impressed by how similar the model and final animated Cinderella look. In terms of backgrounds, we’d pick the animated chateau.

Tramp and Lady from Lady and the Tramp

The original bella notte.

Jock from Lady and the Tramp

Animated or live action, this dog is very cute.

Mowgli from The Jungle Book

Fun fact: this live model is the Director’s son, Bruce Reitherman.

King Louie from The Jungle Book

It looks like there are two VIPs of the jungle.
