From Kirsten Erickson at the Disney Interactive blog. Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved is a breakthrough musical motion video game inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, Fantasia. In the game, players enter the magical realm of Fantasia, selected by the legendary sorcerer Yen Sid, to hone their musical and magical prowess as his new apprentice. Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved takes players on an interactive and immersive motion-controlled journey through worlds of music and magic. The game is available on Kinect, Xbox One.
One small step for man, one giant leap for Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved! Today we announced the next realm for the game and it’s quite literally out of this world.
The next realm, “The Capsule,” is set in a modular space station orbiting around Earth and will feature Elton John’s “Rocket Man” and Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes” as playable songs.
At the center of “The Capsule” lives a lone astronaut monkey who is cut off from all forms of communication. What begins as a claustrophobic, deactivated space station, transforms into a fully-powered, living machine as players perform “In Your Eyes” and “Rocket Man.”
Previously announced realms “The Hollow” and “The Haven” have taken place in forest environments; “The Capsule” is the first to be set in space, introducing a new sensory experience for users that extends the vision and legacy of the original Fantasia film.
