This past weekend at the Suburban Collection in Novi Michigan was the 25th Annual Motor City Comic Con! TMSM was graciously given media passes to cover the event which was held on May 16, 17 and 18. The event was full of comic and pop culture nostalgia, celebrities, comic artists, seminars and many vendors. We were able to walk around, take lots of pictures and also make a lot of contacts with others in the industry.
If you’re a fan of Marvel Comics and movies, then there were plenty of items to check out. Star Wars fans were in luck too, being that the local chapter of the 501st was on hand, taking pictures with people in their top notch Star Wars Costumes!
In the next week, we will be going over various information and interviews that we worked on this past weekend, including a meet up with J. August Richards who plays Mike/Deathlok on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, Andy Suriano who is an animator for the new Mickey Mouse Shorts that recently came out plus The Clone Wars, and an act of kindness by animator Dave Aikens.
